the models of ... Roy Charnock My name is Roy Charnock, I'm 45 and a
structural steelwork engineer and have been working with
steelwork in one form or another since I left school at 16.
I've been modelling on and off since I was a nipper. I have
only been modelling 1/35th scale armour for about 5 years,
previous to this I was scratch building large scale RC
aircraft and scale RC boats. I'm an active member of IPMS
Warrington and regularly exhibit models on our display up
and down the UK. My main subjects in modelling are post WWII
Soviet / Eastern block armour, the more unusual the better.
I don't mind building resin or plastic kits. I also have a
collection of 1/35th scale German WWII railway locos and
rolling stock and a collection of 1/35th scale German rail
guns which includes a Dora which I hope to begin over
Christmas.

![]() T80 UD ... This is the
Revell T80, it's retooled from the Zvesda / DML kit built
straight from the box. The model was then airbrushed using
Humbrol enamels. The base colour was light earth then the
camo was airbrushed freehand starting with the green and
then the black. The complete model was then colourwashed
with black and then dry
brushed.

Welcome to the Members Model Gallery. To have your models featured here, simply submit your photographs to me. Please also consider sharing your models with a wider audience by submitting an article of your build to the Editor of the IPMS (UK) members magazine. You should include your name, membership number, and brief details of the model submitted, i.e; (manufacturer, scale, oob / converted, aftermarket bits & pieces used, hints and tips on building the model which you think would be useful to other modellers), that sort of thing. The model should be reasonably well lit and in focus and posed on a suitable uncluttered background, no weird colours or patterns please. Size of photograph is not a problem, (benefits of broadband), but I may crop and resize the photo. So, what are you waiting for? ...
