Welcome to the 'Derby &
District Model Club' information page. As from September
5th, we'll be meeting in our new venue, the Cromford
Community Centre, this is situated at the bottom of the hill
on the left as you turn onto the B5036 towards Wirksworth
from the A6. To find us, have a look at the map

The club was formed over 10 years ago. Usually we congregate in the bar between 7 - 8pm, just long enough to make our host feel happy before we adjourn upstairs. We encourage our members to display their latest creations and discuss various topics from the modelling world, however, anyone found discussing politics, football and ferrets is sent downstairs to the bar for a round.
We're a friendly bunch and have a good mixture of members with a broad range of interests. We have members attending from as far away as Sheffield, and locally from Derbyshire and Staffordshire. Have a good look through the IPMS (UK) Forum as a couple of our members seem to live there, 'Fatty', 'Spike', 'Chadders' and of course me, Nick Allen 'southsix1', I'm the Branch Sec.
There's a levy of 50p per member, per visit which usually goes towards the christmas booze up or a visit somewhere. New members are always welcome and we let you off with the 50p, well, for a while anyway.
